Corvallis Arts Walk December Destinations
The Arts Center, 4-7pm - 700 SW Madison Ave.
December CAW will see artists on hand, along with the curator Hester Coucke, to discuss the "Small Work Works" exhibit hanging in the main gallery.
CORVIDOPOLIS @ The Madison Ave. Collective, 4-8pm - 459 Madison Ave.
Local artist, Christopher R. Adams, will be opening his studio for a printmaking smorgasbord. His work will be on display, there will be art activities, some screens on the carousel for random printing fun, plenty of drinks & snacks, and maybe even some surprise guests. Bring a blank shirt or some paper and walk away with your own printed goodness.
The Corvallis Advocate Loft, 4-8pm - 425 SW Madison Ave (upstairs)
A handful of members from the local Temporary Artists' Guild will be hanging out this month with a wide selection of work on display from a handful of different mediums. Work both large and small, cheap and not-so-cheap, will be available for your purchasing or staring pleasure. Come hang out, they don't bite (much).
Studio262, 4-8pm - 425 SW Madison Ave., Suite G
Local artist, Eric French, will be sharing the history and techniques of the process of Camera Obscura while showcasing his latest work at Studio262, 4-8pm. Betty Turbo is also BACK by popular demand for MORE portrait fun!
The Majestic Theatre, 4-8pm - 115 SW 2nd St.
Exhibiting the art of San Francisco artist Pablo Solares. Born and raised in Mexico, Solares' work is an expression of his experience of different environments inside and outside of his home country. Pablo has a particular interest in exploring Mexican culture within the United States, "where newborn identities among Hispanics, Latinos and Mexicans has become a very turbulent topic".
Art in the Valley, 4-8pm - 209 SW 2nd St.
December brings the gallery's annual "Mini-Month Event" of smaller works for the holidays. Featuring Jean Lawrence's painted silk scarves, which mark the intersection between beauty and functionality. At the other end of the size spectrum is the 12 sq ft installation "Lightfall" representing the art-worth-staring-at category. Wine tasting from Emerson Vineyards and live music by Whistle Punks.
Teal Cooperative Gallery, 6-8pm - 328 Sw 2nd St
Come and watch Anita Cook demonstrate her lino-cutting and painting technique she uses for her beautiful floral. We are also featuring a locally handcrafted Ginger Liqueur made by Spiritopia. 6-8pm.
Brittney West Studio, 4-8pm - Studio #3 - 340 SW 2nd St.
Drop on by Brittney West’s open art studio and review her 100-day art series. Many original oil paintings and drawings will be on display and you can browse through over 30 various, affordable Eco-prints for sale. Have a seat on her couch, create a collage, enjoy tea, snacks, talk art, and enjoy the stars through the skylight with ambient lighting and good company. All are welcome!
Azure Fine Art Gallery, 4-8pm
341 SW 2nd Street, Suite 3
Azure Fine Art Gallery is excited to open its doors this month with a lovely winter setting of oil paintings. December CAW will be the Grand Opening! Pegasus Frame Studio & Gallery, 4-8pm
341 SW 2nd St.
Through the month of December, Pegasus Gallery hosts its annual “Movable Feast of Art.” This is a rotating display of artwork on exhibit throughout its gallery spaces and covering the walls of the Old World Deli arena. This exhibit features an outrageous collection of artwork spanning from local to national & international artists. Come “feast your eyes” on the images and ideas on display.
Cloud and Kelly’s Public House
126 SW 1st St
At Cloud and Kelly’s enjoy chef Ko Atteberry’s unique takes on traditional Irish fare, as well as amazing fine dining specials created using ingredients from the Corvallis Farmer’s Market. Located across from the riverfront park, Big River has long been a Corvallis icon.
